In Bowling, this is a X!

Just received an email from an official with the Texas Bowl. I will write more when details appear in the Chronicle. Just want to thank everyone I worked with on this exciting event, as well as, the great people of Houston for making it such a success.
- Biggest bowl crowd in Reliant Stadium History!
- $30 million in economic impact to Houston (everyone keeps saying it’s “O.T.C. like” which references that big offshore convention that is here every year).
- 5x more tickets sold before the teams were announced than any Bowl here since it was the Bluebonnet bowl.
-
But they were also blown away by that fact that we made a significant profit on the game (which we give back to the schools and DePelchin) in our first year.
Lastly, we just got our “grades” in from both schools & you all (the hosts and hotels) were given EXTREMELY high marks so Congratulations!!
I cannot tell you how proud I am of the people I worked with. Just makes my day to hear stuff like this.
